Is Scrimmage Games free?
Yes — Scrimmage Games is completely free for coaches. There is no subscription, no per-game fee and no paid tier: download the app on iPhone (iOS 16 or later) or Android, set up your team profile, and post or book as many scrimmages as you want at no cost.
Do both coaches need the app?
Yes. Both coaches use the free Scrimmage Games app — that is what keeps scheduling private. You find each other in the app, message inside the app, and confirm the game inside the app, so neither coach has to hand out a phone number or chase a text thread.
What ages, levels and leagues can I find?
Scrimmage Games covers baseball and softball teams across travel, school, adult and rec leagues. Every team profile lists an age group and a skill level, so you can filter to exactly your bracket and either match your own competition or deliberately play up to challenge your team.
How does messaging work? Is my number shared?
All messaging happens inside the Scrimmage Games app. Your phone number is never shown to the other coach — you chat, agree on a field and a start time, and confirm the game without sharing any personal contact details, unless you later choose to share them yourself.
Where do you have teams?
Coaches post scrimmages on Scrimmage Games across the United States, with the deepest coverage today in the Northeast and North Carolina. Set your distance filter to see every open game near you, or widen it to line up opponents around a tournament trip or travel weekend.
What happens after a match?
Once the other coach accepts on Scrimmage Games, you agree on the date and field in the in-app chat and confirm the game. The scrimmage is saved to My Schedule, where your whole season lives in one place and can be emailed to parents in a tap.
